A Bit About Me (TLDR at the end)
I feel like a lot of younger car guys just watched the movie "Cars" over and over again as a kid, That's certainly how I was introduced into cars! Then, as a teenager, I watched "Fast & Furious", and that just sealed the deal for me. I still watch that movie frequently! I saved up a little bit of money, and in my senior year of high school, I bought a Lost Title, Not-Running, Sat for Almost 20 Years, 1986 Toyota MR2, for $1000 in an E-Bay auction of all places! Now, I'm not sure what pulled me into this car. I just saw it, and thought, "Ohhhh, that's gonna be mine."
So, after I had the car shipped up from Arkansas, my best friend at the time and I looked over the car, and it was just as awful as I thought it would be, but in the best ways. Sure, the paint was peeling off, it had sat forever in a barn, rotting, and I know I'm never going to "profit" from this adventure. But, when we hooked up a battery, and those pop-up headlights swung up and turned on, we were jumping around like monkeys for 10 minutes straight!
After that glimmer of hope, though, the car wouldn't start (obviously), and we began the teardown. After getting the seats out, and vacuuming all the rat crap out of it, chlorine bombing it, and fitting new seats in, I moved up here to Muncie. Since that, progress has been slow (especially through the winter), but progress has happened nonetheless. I now have a manual transmission, the interior of the car is gutted, and the engine is completely torn down as well. My realistic goal is to have the car back on the road by mid 2027, but my hopeful goal is to have it driving again before the turn of the new year.
TLDR:
I got into cars at a very young age. I have a project car that I love, and continue to work on, and I have a passion for cars that can best be described as insanity. That's why I run this company. (Obviously for the money as well, but "Do what you love", you know?) I like to see well maintained, beautiful cars around me, and unfortunately, detailing has gotten so expensive lately. So, I'm trying to keep my prices affordable, so more people can have access to "the luxury" of having a well maintained car.
